Warrior


I love Warrior stories; warriors are exciting personalities. They get a blessing from their mother's humble state and then within a short amount of time they have to be in war zone aggressive state. I always wondered when I heard some warriors’ stories, how come they switch context from two different states. The context switching is an extraordinary ability, multitasking is something different from context switching. The warriors need some small amount of time to context switching but for us ordinary people we can’t change state as soon as we want to, for example, one of the playoffs Tony Romo QB from Dallas Cowboys asked to hold the ball for a kick, but he screwed up big time. He was a trained QB but suddenly he was asked to hold a ball for the kick. I think this is something context switching. When I was a beginner to code, I had some issues with context switching, for example, I was asked to code Java and then same day other tasks related to SQL and some tasks related to JavaScript. This is first I felt a little uncomfortable but I developed a technique to overcome.

  1. Warriors at least I saw in movies, when they go to mother always in war suit, warriors need this feel because they want to think about war as soon as they wore the suit. So, use the same IDE for all technology. For example, use IntelliJ for Java, JavaScript, SQL development. 
  2. Warriors get the blessing from their mother with their blood, they usually use the sword, when we change from emotional states, we need a continuation to the next emotional state. The war is next state hence the drop of the blood is an indication of change state. If we know the next task beforehand with other languages, JavaScript to Java is a little easy than JavaScript to SQL. So, order it based on previous language’s end.
  3. Warriors go to mother’s room alone, as soon as they come out, they are surrendered by soldiers and warriors go to the war zone with a long walk along with soldiers to gain some knowledge. This is very important; we have to take time for context switching from one technology to others and make sure to talk with who is responsible for the new task and new domains. Don’t rush through for new tasks unless it is the same technology and the same domain.
  4. I think there is a reason, why this custom followed by warriors, it will take some time for warriors to go for a full force from full humble to full aggressive. This technique is to give warriors not to use full aggressive force if the enemy is not that strong. This delay allows them to get access to enemy force capacity and their tactics. The same applied to us as well, delay your task a little late and read some articles.

Google's Killer Application.

Already Microsoft getting heat from Google, that Google is capturing all critical functionalities from Microsoft office suite and developed online based Google Docs suite . From many of small business to individuals now using Google docs instead of expensive Microsoft office suite. Now Google released a "sharepoint killer application" named as Sites . It was just redesign of JotSpot wiki, which Google acquired some years back . I think that now Google can declare war against Microsoft office suite. Google has now all replacement products for Microsoft office. Actually now we are expecting a twist from Microsoft that they will release a online based mini office suite to fight against Google Apps.

Uncontrolled Musing

When I start thinking about future, my mind exploding without control, particularly current events and state of our economy. There is no definite answer to following questions. Are we at recession or depression or nothing? Occupywallstreet will become a revolutionary movement or just like tea party, it will also subside?   President Obama able to win job bill or it will go under water.   If we are not in recession, what is the status of this market? What will happen to 401k, IRA and other investments?   Are we bear market or bull market or pig? How many more days (months/years) we need to worry about our job?   When will my home value improves? The above all are somehow interrelated, a better economy spurs growth which will eliminate all uncertainty. But no one here able to pin point what went wrong and how to fix it.
